Niki is a French film directed by Céline Sallette and released in 2024. It is the director's first feature film, retracing the life and work of the militant feminist artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002).
The film: In Paris in 1952, Niki moved to France with her husband and daughter, far from a stifling America and family. But despite the distance, Niki is regularly shaken by reminiscences of her childhood that invade her thoughts. Niki will find her way to the light, and in art a weapon to free herself.
