Escapardenne Lee & Éislek Trail

159 km of cross-border hiking trails

The Escapardenne in a nutshell

With a total length of 159 km, the Escapardenne, which consists of the Lee Trail and the Éislek Trail, crosses the most beautiful landscapes of the Ardennes between Luxembourg and Belgium.

Discover the wilderness of this remote region! You'll pass through dense forests and rugged valleys, follow rocky ridges and skirt small, clear streams, where you'll be accompanied only by the sound of water. Made up largely of narrow paths and nature trails, the Escapardenne takes you far from the hustle and bustle of the world, as close as possible to nature and to the heart of the forests.

A hike on the Escapardenne is a unique experience that has won awards for its quality. The Lee Trail and the Éislek Trail have been awarded Leading Quality Trails by the European Ramblers' Association, an honour bestowed on just 22 long-distance routes in all of Europe.

To help you plan your adventure on the Escapardenne Lee Trail and/or Éislek Trail, you'll find everything you need here for an unforgettable hiking experience: stages, luggage transport services, accommodation, public transport, etc.

Prepare well for your Escapardenne expedition!

Hiking the Escapardenne Lee Trail and Éislek Trail requires some preparation and a certain level of fitness. The differences in altitude are considerable and some of the rocky ridges are very narrow. That's why good footwear is essential for every hiking enthusiast. And don't forget to pack enough provisions in your rucksack - there aren't many villages along the route, and the same applies to eating out. In summer, don't forget your sun cream, as some areas are particularly exposed to the sun.
