Using the Luxembourg Géoportail - practical examples
Tim Schnelke, who is responsible for active tourism at Visit Éislek and specialises in hiking, will provide a brief and above all practical introduction to the Luxembourgish Géoportail.
His presentation will cover two main aspects:
The use of the Géoportail for hiking: Viewing hikes on the map, showing different layers (public transport, hunts, etc.), showing the various types of hikes, etc.
Sharing information via the Géoportail, e.g. to report problem areas on hiking trails (fallen trees, missing markings, etc.)
This workshop is suitable for you if... you are in regular contact with tourists or local hikers and would like to inform them using the Géoportail, e.g. if you work in a tourist information centre or a hospitality business.
