Viewpoint at the top station of the chairlift

The viewpoint at the top station of the chairlift in Vianden offers a breathtaking view over the town, the castle and the Our valley. It can be reached either on foot or by chairlift.

The viewpoint at the top station of the chairlift in Vianden offers an impressive panoramic view of the town, the imposing castle and the Our Valley. From this rocky outcrop, you can see the entire surrounding area, including the reservoir of the pumped-storage power station. It is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in and around Vianden. The viewpoint can be reached either on foot via the Éislek Pad Vianden, the Nat'Our Route 5 or the Autopédestre Vianden, or, of course, by chairlift.

At the top station, 440 metres above sea level, there is an inn with a terrace that invites you to take a break. From here, a winding rocky path leads down to the castle. Sturdy footwear is essential for this hike, as the path can be challenging, especially in wet weather conditions. After refreshments at the inn, you can either take the chairlift back down to the valley or hike slowly back down.
