Downwards to the wild river

The Our River is an important source of life for its inhabitants, including the brook mussel. Discover the exhibition at the Kalborn mill. The highlight of this tour along the Our is the Kailslee viewpoint. The tough climb will be rewarded with a special view of the Our valley.

Kalborn Mill
The mill in Kalborn, which is over 200 years old, has developed into a nature conservation centre. Endangered river pearl and brook mussels are bred here. Information boards in front of the mill show how gardens can provide habitats for wildlife and insects.
