Urban Art by Hariko

Where? 5, rue Abbé Muller, L-9065 Ettelbruck

Those who glance to the right will spot a colorful graffiti with the inscription "Hariko". Young people up to 26 years old should take a closer look at the courtyard, as workshops are offered almost every afternoon, including a graffiti workshop. The wall in the courtyard is constantly changing. It's the perfect place to hang out and unleash your creativity.

Hariko is a mix between "HARIBO" ("Kids and grown-ups love it so, the happy world of Haribo") and  "Boun" (from Bouneweg / Bonnevoie), the vegetable (bean). The name reflects the playful character  of the project that was inspired by Bronx regeneration project “The Gramsci Monument”. Hariko was  founded in 2015 at a former warehouse in Bonnevoie in Luxembourg city, as an outreach service to  offer cultural activities and “help young people open up”. Hariko opened in 2019 in Ettelbruck and  provides rent-free space to 6 artists in exchange for which tenants offer free workshops to young  people. HARIKO is now part of the Youth Program of the Luxembourg Red Cross.

Picnic area Déck Lee
The "Déck Lee" has an eventful history behind it. This impressive rock served as a retreat for 30 Eschdorfers on 25 December 1944 before the deadly fighting between the German occupier and the American troops. Today, a sign commemorates the events. The "Déck Lee", located in the Milbich valley, is also a great place for a picnic. The best way to reach it is via the Wassersënneswee.
